Sorry to make a double post about Prodigy! I’m just wanting to communicate with parents how important it is that the kids are playing AT HOME! I know it seems silly because it’s a game, but I’m actually assigning homework though Prodigy! If they are not playing at home, they are likely missing homework! I know some students love Prodigy and some hate it. The reality is if they hate it, it’s probably because they are struggling in Math, making it even more important that they play it! I don’t want them to get discouraged though. If they don’t know an answer, they can skip it! Prodigy is all about practice, and I’m not expecting them to have all the answers or get everything right. In fact, when they get things wrong it helps me know what skills to target! Prodigy is also great for the kids who are advanced, because I can give them more difficult challenges. Everybody can work at a different pace and no one has to be compared. It’s awesome! So please please remember to reinforce Prodigy at home!
Thank you!
Side note: Monday for the field trip, we are going to be in Old San Juan all day, so no need for book bags or school work. Just a day of fun! Don’t forget to bring your kite!
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY PLEASE BRING COMPUTERS!!!! It is our last 2 days of school so we will be playing games! (among tests obviously) but I’d like to incorporate as much fun into our last couple days as possible! So we’re going electronic!
Thank you for all your support as parents and for all the patience you have with me! I’m so happy to be working with your kids, they are fantastic!!!
Oh, I will also be posting the food sign up for our Christmas Celebration! Make sure to check the classroom door!
